Follower of Jesus. Seeker of truth. Conservative Anabaptist. INFP. Human. Translator. Teacher.
My name is Lori. I am a Kansas farm girl doing life in the town of Mae Sariang, Thailand, in Mae Hong Son province. Most days I talk Thai and English to my friends, and seldom do I have a chance to speak Pennsylvania Dutch, my mother tongue. I spend my days teaching English as foreign language to high schoolers.
Writing is an outlet for me. This blog is simple, and does not claim to be anything great or amazing. It only serves as an outlet.
I am a bit disorganized and lose things easily. I am the kind of person who goes through the buffet line at the local haystack benefit supper and comes out with a plate twice as full as the others. I am a night owl who just really likes animals and coffee and mountains and trains and rivers and words and translation and interesting people. And just life in general, I guess.
Wet socks, containers without lids, lost items, and people who turn up their nose at other cultures are things I do not enjoy. That, and bananas.
Poetry is another love of mine, and my first book of poetry was published 5 years ago, entitled, Echoes of Eternity. To order a copy of this book for $6.99, plus $2.50 shipping to anywhere in the States, please leave a comment below with your email address.
