This weeping, this night,
This immovable mountain
Tower over me.
I crouch in the dust
Raw from the saltwater.
Well is it said that joy comes in the morning:
But in an eternal night,
Lord, when does the morning come?
This weeping, this night,
This immovable mountain
Tower over me.
I crouch in the dust
Raw from the saltwater.
Well is it said that joy comes in the morning:
But in an eternal night,
Lord, when does the morning come?

I’m late to comment here, but I know what you mean—I too have had seasons of wondering if night ever ends. And across the miles I want to stretch out my hand to find yours and assure you (in case it’s still dark): it does! night ends! Just walk one step, one moment at a time with your heart turned toward Jesus and one day you will wake to find yourself surrounded by light of day. Light may come suddenly or it may dawn imperceptibly slow but it will come. It will.
And in the night He is with you.

Thank you, Crystal. You caring means a lot to me, and the need to take just one step with my heart turned to Jesus is so, so true. The night is lighter now than before, but I still need to walk that way. Thank you, dear friend!
